Queensland State Jigsaw Puzzle Competition 2025 event information
The Queensland State Jigsaw Puzzle Competition 2025 will take place on Sunday 3rd August at Brisbane State High School.
The competition has two divisions:
- Pairs (2 hour time limit, 2 people, 500 pc puzzle)
- Individuals (2.5 hour time limit, 500 pc puzzle)
Timing
- 10am – 10.45am: Doors open and check-in for pairs
- 11am – 1pm: Pairs competition
- 1pm – 1.30 pm: Pairs prize presentation
- 1pm – 1.45pm: Check-in for solos
- 2pm – 4.30pm: Solo competition
- 4.30pm – 5pm: Solo prize presentation
Check-in
When you arrive at the event, head to the check-in desk with your QR code ready. Check-in opens about one hour before each division. You must be seated at least 15 minutes before the competition start time. If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible.
You will have an allocated table at this event. If you have accessibility needs, let us know before the event so we can assign a table that meets your needs.

Enter via the Vulture Street Gate (V3) and head to the Indoor Sports Complex marked F on the map at the bottom of this page.

The nearest stations for both bus and rail are at South Bank.
Parking
There is limited parking around the venue — 2 hour restrictions apply.
Free parking at the Edmondstone Street Car may be available on the day on a first come, first serve basis. This will be confirmed and emailed to participants closer to the event.

What’s available on the day
Raffle and merch: There will be a raffle and AJPA merchandise on sale. Bring your AJPA membership card for 20% off merch.
Pop-up shop: TBC
Pick up a 2025 membership pack: Become a member at the event and pick up your membership pack on the day, saving $15 on postage.
Refreshments: TBC
Prizes: The top three winners in each category will take home a puzzle. The winner of the solo category will win a free place in the solo final at the Australian National Jigsaw Puzzle Competition. Raffle prizes and spot prizes are also available on the day, including prizes for best costume.
Tickets
Tickets are available on Eventbrite. If you are joining the waitlist, please specify which type of ticket you are looking for after your name (e.g. Emily Smith PAIRS).
