NSW State Jigsaw Puzzle Competition 2025 event information

The NSW State Jigsaw Puzzle Competition 2025 is back on Saturday 12 July 2025 at Marrickville Town Hall.

The competition has two divisions:

Pairs (2 hour time limit, 2 people, 500 pc puzzle)
Individuals (2.5 hour time limit, 500 pc puzzle)

Prizes

The top three winners in each category (solos and teams) will take home a puzzle. The solo winner also wins a free entry to the solo event at our national competition. Raffle prizes and spot prizes are also available on the day, including prizes for best costume.

Check-in

When you arrive at the event, head to the check-in desk and have your QR code ready. Registration opens about one hour before each division. You must be seated at least 15 minutes before the competition start time. If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible.

You will have an allocated table at this event. If you have accessibility needs, let us know before the event so we can assign you a table that meets your needs.

Timetable

9am – 9.40am: Doors open and check-in for solos
10am – 12pm: Pairs competition
12pm – 12.30pm: Pairs prize presentation
12pm – 12.45pm: Check-in for solos
1pm – 3.30pm: Solo competition
3.30pm – 4pm: Solo prize presentation

Public transport

There is street parking and the closest train station is Marrickville – an eight minute walk from the venue.

What’s available on the day

Raffle and merch: There will be a raffle and AJPA merchandise on sale. Bring your AJPA membership card for 20% off merch.

AJPA members should also head to the membership desk for a free gift courtesy of PieceRelax.

Pop-up shop: TBC

Spot prizes: We encourage you to dress up or have a theme for yourself, your pair and/or team as prizes are up for grabs for best dressed in each division.

Pick up a 2025 membership pack: Become a member at the event and pick up your membership pack on the day, saving $15 on postage.

Refreshments: Cafe, bakery and Dominos all within walking distance

Tickets are available on Eventbrite. If you are joining the waitlist, please specify which type of ticket you are looking for after your name (e.g. Emily Smith SOLO).
