ACCESSIBILITY REQUESTS
Making an accessibility request
At AJPA, we do our best to accommodate accessibility requests at our events. Our ability to accommodate requests depends on the size and layout of the room and the number of requests being made.
Accessibility requests must be included with your ticketing info at least one week before the event. Please try to include as much detail as possible to help us meet your request.
What types of accessibility requests can I make?
The main types of requests relate to:
- physical disability
- carer duties (e.g. a parents needing to stay close to a child puzzling alone)
- sensory needs.
Please be aware that we cannot always provide a low-sensory experience at these events. Regardless of where you are located in the room, you will hear background noise and cheering throughout the event. The best way to manage this is by using noise cancelling headphones or listen to music to block out any noise.
If the venue has a separate ‘low-sensory’ space, we will offer this accommodation as part of ticketing on a first-come, first-serve basis.
How to update your ticket
- Find your ticket email from Humanitix.
- Click on Manage Order:

- Select ‘Edit’ in your Buyer Information:

- Select ‘Yes’ under ‘Do you have an accessibility request for this event?’
- This will open up two more questions allowing you to select the divisions where you need this accommodation (you can select one or multiple) and add details about the support you need.
I'm stuck!
If you cannot work out how to add your request onto your ticket, send us a message.
Please bear in mind that ticketing is managed by volunteers who do this for fun! The process above helps reduce volunteer admin before an event.
