I thought I would say the event was spot on, well managed and the young lady on the mic had excellent energy, which spread in the room. My son and I really enjoyed the challenge.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all you guys at the Australian Jigsaw Puzzle Association for opening up the opportunity to compete in the 1st QLD puzzle competition yesterday. Nathan my husband has cerebral palsy and has been working hard over the past 6 months or so at getting better each day with puzzles. We started for the purpose of hand therapy to assist with his poor fine motor function and to keep him mentally sharp as covid prevented him from engaging in his much needed physical therapy. He’s come a super long way, starting off with very small kids puzzles with 26 pieces which at first took him hours all the way to helping me do 1000 piece puzzles and 500 in just 1.5 hours. I’m so very proud of him, I know how challenging it is to not only go to a new place with lots of people he doesn’t know but to on command solve a very intricate puzzle. We’re excited for next years comp, and already decided we’re going to deck out in puzzle paraphernalia.

A huge thank you to the organisers @australianjigsawpuzzle for putting on a fantastic event and to the volunteers that kept it running smoothly! Your hard work and long hours are greatly appreciated.

I’ve loved jigsaw puzzles since I was a toddler and never dreamed there would be such thing as a jigsaw puzzle competition. What an amazing event … and winning first place in the individual division was the icing on the cake! Thanks to the organisers and sponsors for making it happen. And special thanks to my wonderful sister Paula Hayes. Seriously!

I would just like to send my sincere thanks for the jigsaw competition at Sandgate yesterday and basically this group. I have been a huge fan of Jigsaws since I was a child and would sit with my dad trying to do his ‘big’ ones. Yesterday was a great opportunity to sit and meet like minded people.

The event was well run, and you could be there to be competitive or just for fun (that was us). Timing on the weekend was great.

I can go on, but again my sincere thanks. I look forward to any future opportunities.
